RAF pilots set 1940-1945 (1:32) is a resin set of figures of British fighter pilots from the period of the Second World War for rounding out aviation dioramas, from the manufacturer Black Dog.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a set of resin figures depicting British fighter pilots from 1940 to 1945. The set is intended to bring aviation dioramas and display cases in 1:32 scale to life and to set Royal Air Force fighters into a believable scene. It is not an aircraft kit, but accessory figures.
The figures capture RAF pilots in the period flying suits and gear typical of the era of the Battle of Britain and of the later war years. The figures are designed to come across naturally by an aircraft, in conversation or in the resting poses typical of a field airfield.
First wash the resin parts in lukewarm soapy water to remove the mold release residue. Cut the casting blocks off carefully and clean the surfaces up, and protect your airways when sanding. Glue the parts with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Apply a base coat (primer) before painting; for skin, leather and textile, acrylic paints and fine shading with washes and drybrushing have proved themselves.
It is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
