The real subject

The SJU-8/A was the ejection seat used in the later LTV A-7E Corsair II aircraft, the American carrier-based light attack aircraft. A faithful rendering of the seat markedly raises the realistic impression of an open cabin on a model.

Building and painting tips

Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). Wear respiratory protection while sanding. Paint the seat, set the straps apart in color and bring out the details with a wash. Check that the seat fits into the cabin of your particular A-7E kit.
