A separate resin figure of a Red Army pilot in winter dress, Black Dog 1:32 Soviet fighter pilot winter WW II N°4.
Responsibility details are not available.
Another of the separate figures from Black Dog extends the range of Soviet pilots for 1:32 scale. The box holds one resin figure, which you add to a finished aircraft so that the machine gains a human sense of size and the scene around it gains a story of its own. The figure stands on its own, so you can think out its place beside the aircraft once the display base is finished.
Front-line fighter regiments wintered on field airfields without hangars, where long hours were spent waiting at readiness. The gear therefore looked more like the clothing of the ground crew with flying items added: a long padded coat or a fur coat, felt or fur footwear, a flying helmet and goggles pulled down to the neck. The winter issue also differed according to when and from where a unit received its supply, so two pilots in the same regiment could look completely different.
After cleaning up, check whether a thin film has been left between the arm and the body; it comes away with a sharp scalpel. A gray primer will reveal small bubbles that are worth filling with putty. Choose muted shades, as a saturated blue or red would look out of place in a snowy setting. Work the painting from the deepest surfaces outward, or you will needlessly smear the upper layers you have already finished.
It is supplied as an unglued casting without paints and without a base.
