Eduard Brassin 1:32 Spitfire Mk. IX exhausts - fishtail is a resin detail set that replaces the plastic exhaust stubs on 1:32 Spitfire Mk. IX models.
Responsibility details are not available.
This is a resin detail set from the Czech manufacturer Eduard, not an airplane model. It contains a set of cast fishtail exhaust stubs that replace the simplified plastic parts from the box and markedly lift the look of the engine section on models of the Supermarine Spitfire Mk. IX in 1:32 scale.
Late Spitfire versions with the Rolls-Royce Merlin engine exhausted through a set of individual stubs. The fishtail rendering with its flattened outlet damped the flame and was characteristic of the Mk. IX. The resin castings have hollow outlets and fine weld traces that are usually lost in the plastic from the box.
First wash the mold release residue off the parts, carefully cut off the casting blocks and sand them with respiratory protection. It is bonded with super glue (cyanoacrylate). We recommend picking out the hollow outlets of the stubs with a dark shade and weathering the surface with smoke and rust tones for convincing burnt metal.
This is an accessory, not a complete kit. It requires a matching base model, which is not included in the package. Glue and paints are not enclosed.
