A detail set of the Brassin line that brings an exceptionally well-equipped pilot's compartment of the legendary Spitfire Mk.IX fighter into the large 1:32 scale. The cockpit is cast in resin and completed with colored, pre-printed photo-etch, clear film parts for the instruments and a small decal. The result is an interior that goes well beyond the part from the box. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a replacement cockpit.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was one of the most important versions of the British fighter, fitted with the powerful Merlin 60 series engine. Put into action from 1942, it became an equal match for the German fighters of the time.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with super glue. The pre-printed colored photo-etch speeds up and sharpens the rendering of the panel and the belts. In a large scale the fine detail comes out well, so careful emphasis with a wash and dry-brushing pays off. Do the work with resin with respiratory protection.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
