Montex 1:32 Spitfire Mk.IX is a set of pre-cut self-adhesive masks, not a model and not a kit. It complements a Tamiya kit you already own.
Responsibility details are not available.
A masking set for modelers in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit; the package holds self-adhesive masks cut to the shape of the glazing of the particular kit named in the product name. Do not combine the set with another kit, because the outlines of the frames differ between manufacturers even by tenths of a millimeter, which is clearly visible in a large scale.
The Spitfire Mk.IX came about as a quick answer to the appearance of German fighters with more powerful engines. A Rolls-Royce Merlin with a two-stage supercharger was fitted into an airframe derived from the Mk.V, and it improved performance at high altitude considerably. The recognition features are a longer nose, a four-blade propeller and a pair of exhaust stacks arranged differently from the earlier versions. The Mk.IX was built in large numbers and was also flown by Allied squadrons with Czech crews.
So that the frames look like frames and not like built-up paint, apply the finish in several very thin coats. A heavy coat leaves a visible step once the mask is lifted, and on glazing that is distracting. The proven procedure is to spray the interior shade first, let it flash off, then the base camouflage and finally a flat or semi-gloss clear coat. Clear parts are best fixed with a glue for glazing, which does not fog the surface, and masked only once it has dried.
This is an accessory for a model, not a kit. The kit, paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
