1:32 static dischargers for MiG aircraft, 14 pieces is a set of turned metal parts for the trailing edges of a large model. It is an accessory to a finished kit, not a model of an aircraft.
Responsibility details are not available.
The set contains fourteen turned metal static dischargers in the form used on MiG jets, this time for the large 1:32 scale. It is made by the Polish brand MASTER. It is not a kit or a set of barrels but small parts that are fitted into the trailing edges of the flying and tail surfaces.
The larger the model, the less simplification it will bear. In 1:32 the viewer sees not only that a discharger is there but also its profile, its angle and its spacing. The turned part therefore has the right ratio of length to diameter and keeps even the shaped transition at the root, which with a hand-made replacement drawn from stretched plastic is practically impossible to repeat identically on all fourteen pieces.
First mark the positions from photographs of the particular machine, since on a large model uneven spacing is spotted at once. Drill the holes with a micro drill at a right angle to the trailing edge and set the angle of the part only while gluing, before the cyanoacrylate sets. It helps to draw the angle on a piece of card and keep comparing against it. Carry the finished model by the fuselage and, when placing it in a display case, reckon with protruding parts being the most sensitive spot; metal is tougher than plastic, but it is not indestructible either.
This is an accessory to a model, not a standalone kit. Glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
