A resin detail set from CMK in 1:32 scale. It is not a kit but a landing gear accessory that replaces the kit main wheels with more faithful resin parts of the late type with a crisp tire tread and fine detail of the wheel rim. The set is intended for Hawker Tempest models in the Mk.II, V and VI versions.
The Hawker Tempest had a sturdy main landing gear with a wide track, which gave it good behavior on takeoff and landing. Several types of wheels and tires were used in service; the late type differs in the shape of the rim and in the tread pattern.
Wash the parts free of mold release agent and separate them from the casting blocks. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue). The wheels look realistic with a suggested bulge where they meet the ground; paint the rims and the tires separately and bring them out with dust pigments.
The set contains resin parts and serves as an accessory to a kit. The base model, glue and paints are not included in the package.
