The German version of the Tornado ECR in 1:32 gets a smaller colored cockpit set from Quinta Studio.
Responsibility details are not available.
A smaller colored Quinta Studio set for the cockpit of the German ECR variant. It is cut for the kit from Italeri, while for the same machine the manufacturer also offers a version for a model from another company. So check which model you are planning before you buy.
The German Tornado ECRs were created as machines for locating and destroying ground radar stations. They carried a suite for passive location of emitters and anti-radiation missiles, while the gun armament was dropped. The airframes derive from the IDS strike version, so the individual renditions differ externally in details rather than in overall shape, and the difference lies mainly in what the crew operates.
Fit the smaller set only once the cockpit tub is painted and perfectly dry. Check the correct orientation of every piece against the drawing, because panels of similar shape are easily swapped sides. Work in a place without a draft, otherwise a tiny flat piece will fly off before you know it. Once it is finished, look at the cockpit from the height of the viewer's eye rather than straight down from above; that is how it will appear in a display case.
