Ammunition belts with American .30-06 rounds of 7.62 mm caliber for models in 1:32 scale; according to the name they are not tied to one particular kit.
Responsibility details are not available.
The designation .30-06 belongs to an American rifle round: the first number is the caliber in inches, that is roughly 7.62 mm, and the second refers to the year of introduction, 1906. It was the most widespread American rifle round of the Second World War and it filled not only infantry weapons but machine guns of .30 caliber as well. A belt of such rounds is therefore to be seen in ammunition boxes, at machine-gun positions and in open crates beside a weapon.
In a kit the belt is usually simplified to a flat strip with the rounds merely suggested, because a finer shape does not come out of a mold. A separate accessory has the rounds shaped individually, so it is possible to lead the belt over the edge of a box or let it hang freely. At the large 1:32 scale that pays off twice over: an open machine-gun position is clearly visible and a flat strip would be conspicuous in it. The note in the name says that the set is not intended for a single kit, so you adapt the length of the belt and its routing to your own model.
The elements are printed on decal carrier paper. Cut a piece out of the sheet, leave it for about fifteen seconds in lukewarm water and slide it off the paper into place. It has no adhesive layer of its own and holds reliably on gloss varnish (Future or Klear, Tamiya X-22), and in a broken-up place a drop of super glue helps. Do not use a decal softener or a decal fixer, as the chemicals would attack the printed resin. Degrease the surface under the belt and go over it with a primer. Set the brass shade of the cases apart from the darker metal of the bullets, then unify the whole with a dark wash. The manufacturer's instructions give the exact procedure.
For builders of large models with exposed armament, for dioramas and for display cases where the weapon is seen close up. The model, the paints, the glue and the tools are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise. The elements of this line are soaked briefly in lukewarm water and slid off the carrier paper.
