A figure of an aircraft mechanic of the Warsaw Pact armies in 1:32 scale, the second item of the range. It will bring an airfield scene beside a model of eastern equipment to life.
Responsibility details are not available.
The figure represents an aircraft mechanic of the Warsaw Pact armies. Ground personnel spent most of their time beside the machines: topping up fuel, loading armament, checking the landing gear and preparing an aircraft for its next takeoff. In an airfield scene a mechanic therefore looks more natural than a pilot on his own, and a standing model gains through him the action that a machine on its own in a display case lacks.
It is a figure in 1:32 scale, in which an adult human comes out at around 55 mm. The number two in the name sets this figure apart from the other mechanics of the same range, so they can be put together into a group beside one aircraft. What pose the figure is in, how many parts are in the package and what tools it is carrying is given by the manufacturer in the instructions.
Wash the parts in lukewarm water with a drop of detergent before painting and let them dry off. Cut the excess material and the marks of manufacture off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the area with fine abrasive paper. Working clothes will take more dirt than a pilot's uniform: once the base shade is on, go over the edges with a dry brush in a lighter tone and apply a thin layer of dark paint to the knees, the elbows and the hands, so that the figure looks as though it really is working.
It will be appreciated by a modeler who is building an airfield scene in 1:32 scale and wants to see people beside the equipment. Paints and glue are not included in the delivery, unless stated otherwise.
