Quinta Studio 1:32 Wooden Propellers Neindorf is a sheet of thin decals with wood grain for the propeller blades of a model.
Responsibility details are not available.
Thin decals with wood grain for propeller blades in 1:32 scale. It is not a 3D printed cockpit set or a plastic part but a print that is applied to the finished propeller of a model. It thus replaces painting the structure of laminated wood, which is one of the hardest painting tasks on a model, because the grain has to run smoothly across the twist of the blade and at the same time keep the layering of woods of different darkness.
The name in the title refers to a period propeller workshop of the First World War era. Propellers were then laminated from layers of wood, each maker used its own arrangement, and that is why the wood grain is handled in such detail on models of aircraft of that time. The exact appearance differed between makers precisely in the width and the tone of the individual layers.
Spray the propeller with a light base paint and go over it with gloss varnish. Soak the element briefly in lukewarm water, slide it onto the blade and shape it gradually over the curvature; a decal softener helps the carrier to settle and prevents bubbles staying under it. Once dry, go over it with semi-flat varnish. The shade can be fine-tuned with a very weak glaze, so that the propeller matches the overall coloring of the model.
