A colored display board for a model whose motif is tied to an Arleigh Burke class destroyer. The load-bearing part is an acrylic board 3 mm thick and 180 x 214 mm in size, that is 18 x 21.4 cm. The board is stiff, does not sag under a model and a model is simply stood on it; there is no need to glue it or modify it in any other way. The format matches one machine rather than a whole scene.
Arleigh Burke class destroyers are American ships armed with guided missiles and fitted with the Aegis combat system. The first unit entered service at the beginning of the 1990s and the class is still being built today, so it ranks among the most numerous and longest-built classes of warship of its size. A display board with this motif suits above all models of shipboard helicopters and of other equipment in 1:72 scale.
If the board is protected by a film, take it off only just before displaying it, so that the surface is not scratched. Wipe dust and fingerprints off with a soft dry cloth. Thinners and aggressive cleaners have no place on acrylic; they dull it and can damage the motif. Stand the model so that its footprint does not cover the most striking part of the artwork, and if need be secure it against shifting with double-sided adhesive pads, which can be taken off without a trace.
The model, the paints and the glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
