The Boeing 737 in the NG generation is among the most widespread airliners there have ever been and also became the basis of several military machines. The C-40A serves the US Navy for carrying people and freight, the P-8A Poseidon is a machine for maritime patrol and anti-submarine duties and the E-7A Wedgetail carries the large antenna of an airborne early warning and control system. All these types share a common basis, but they differ in equipment and in finishes, from civil white and gray to low-visibility military shades. In 1:72 scale these are large models, on which cleanness of the spraying matters all the more.
On a large model, work in sections and let each coat go off properly. Degrease the surface before masking and check that no dust is left on it; on glossy civil finishes every speck shows. Take the paint slowly and spray perpendicular to the edge of the mask so that no mist gets under it.
