A resin detail set in 1:72 scale from the Czech maker Aires. It is not a kit of the aircraft but a replacement for the exhaust, or vectoring, nozzles of the Harrier, an aircraft capable of vertical takeoff and landing, in the AV-8A, GR.1 and GR.3 versions. The characteristic swiveling nozzles are among the most visually striking features of the Harrier, and a resin casting catches them more accurately than stock plastic.
The Harrier is a British aircraft with vertical takeoff and landing whose thrust is directed by four swiveling nozzles. Their faithful rendering and the option of swiveling them bring a model markedly to life. The set replaces the kit nozzles with accurate parts with a realistic profile and interior.
Wash the mold release agent off the parts, cut off the casting blocks and make a dry fit before gluing. Glue with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); sand resin with respiratory protection. The nozzles are often painted in metallic shades and toned with heat effects using washes and pigments.
A resin accessory, not a complete model. Paints, glue and the base kit are not included in the package.
