This accessory in cast resin replaces the plastic air intakes on the side of the engine cowling with a more accurate casting with a faithful shape and an open inlet. It is a refining part for a plastic kit, not a model in its own right.
The Fw 190 D-9, the Dora, was a late version of the German Focke-Wulf fighter with an inverted V12 Junkers Jumo 213 engine. The side air intakes for the supercharger were among the prominent features of the lengthened nose, and their accurate shape raises the credibility of a model.
Wash the mold release residue off the part, cut off the casting block and sand the surface down gently with respiratory protection. It is glued with super glue, and small gaps can be filled with putty. Apply a filler primer before painting and match the shade to the cowling around it.
The accessory is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the base kit are not included in the package.
