Responsibility details are not available.
This figure from Black Dog in 1:35 scale belongs to a numbered group devoted to the American naval special warfare units. It is listed as a single figure, so it can be used on its own or gradually completed with further items from the same group into a larger composition.
The naval special warfare units of the United States were created at the beginning of the 1960s and from the start were built for operating on the boundary of water and land, which is where their name referring to sea, air and land comes from. Their training is among the most demanding undergone in the armed forces, and its drop-out rate is legendary. In practice this means small groups which work independently and far from support, so they put their equipment together according to the task. For a figure modeler this is interesting precisely because no two figures from such a unit are alike.
Keep the uniform in a subdued base and build the variety on the equipment: paint the straps, the pouches and the helmet in differing tones of the same family, not in contrasting colors. The face is the most closely watched area on a single figure, so set aside the most time for it and build it up in thin coats. In the scene a broken base works well: a piece of jetty, a concrete edge or a boat deck will give the subject sense better than desert sand.
