A set of water-slide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. It is not a kit but a marking sheet on its own for rounding out a model of a tank of your own. The subject is hardware of the East German National People's Army (NVA) of the period from the 1960s to the 1980s.
The sheet is devoted to the medium tanks T-54 and T-55 in the period from 1960 to 1980. It holds large generic tactical numbers and national insignia, from which you can put together the markings of a whole range of particular vehicles. The generic treatment of the numbers gives you a free hand in reconstructing a particular machine from period photographs.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish, which will prevent silvering under the film. Dip the design in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the surface once it has softened. Decal softeners and setting solutions will help it seat into the detail. A final matte varnish will even the surface out and the markings will blend with the paint of the vehicle.
This is a marking sheet on its own. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
