Decals 1:35 - French fighting vehicles in Africa, the Marmon Herrington Mk III cover the markings of South African armored cars in French hands.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Star Decals set in 1:35 scale is devoted to the markings of French fighting vehicles in Africa and is aimed at the Marmon Herrington Mk III armored car. The model of the vehicle is not included; it is a marking sheet on its own.
The Marmon-Herrington was an armored car of South African design built on a commercial chassis with all-wheel drive. It was made in large numbers and spread across the whole African theater; the Mk III version with the shorter wheelbase was among the most numerous. The African setting laid down its own terms for these vehicles: dust, desert shades and improvised modification of the hull belong to their typical look as much as the national insignia, which changed several times during the war.
Let the base in sand and light brown tones dry thoroughly and polish the area with gloss varnish before laying the markings down. The hull of the Marmon-Herrington is put together from flat sloping panels with bolts around their edges, so a larger design usually comes out better divided into two parts than run across an edge. Lay the dusty weathering on only over fixed markings, otherwise you would blind them for no reason.
