A set of water-slide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. It is not a kit but a marking sheet on its own for rounding out a model of a vehicle of your own. The theme is German hardware captured and put back into action by the French Forces of the Interior (FFI) at the close of the Second World War.
The sheet offers markings for the late PzKpfw IV Ausf. H, the SdKfz 251 Ausf. D half-track, the Panzerwerfer 42 rocket launcher, the heavy Tiger I tank and the Jagdpanzer 38(t) Hetzer tank destroyer. It is precisely the re-marking of captured hardware with improvised resistance symbols, Crosses of Lorraine and lettering that gives a model an unusual and interesting character. From one sheet you therefore get several unconventional vehicles.
Apply the decals onto a smooth gloss varnish to prevent silvering. Dip the cut-out design in lukewarm water for a few seconds and slide it onto the surface once it has softened. Decal softeners will help it cling into the detail. Finally even the surface out with a matte varnish.
This is a marking sheet on its own. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
