1:35 Daimler Armoured Car No. 2 - British postwar service

Water-slide decals in 1:35 scale from Star Decals. The sheet is devoted to the British Daimler armored reconnaissance vehicle in postwar service and offers markings from the conflicts and garrisons in Palestine, Korea, Kenya, at Suez, in Malaya and on Cyprus.

The subject and the markings

The Daimler Armoured Car was a fast British armored car armed with a 2-pounder gun, which proved itself during the Second World War and served in the British army long after it. The set makes it possible to set the vehicle in a whole range of postwar operations of the British empire from the Middle East to Southeast Asia, including registration numbers, tactical signs and unit symbols.

Use and tips

Apply them onto gloss varnish, so that no matte frame is left around the design. A softener will help a decal seat onto surface detail and rivets. Once dry, even the surface out with a matte varnish and with light weathering matching a desert or tropical setting.

Who the set is for

• Lovers of British armored hardware and colonial conflicts
• Modelers looking for less usual postwar markings
• Diorama makers focused on the 1950s and 1960s

This is a sheet of decals on its own. The model, the paints and the varnish are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
