1:35 Turkey in WW2 is a Star Decals sheet with the markings of Turkish T-26 tanks and BA-6 armored cars in the 1930s and 1940s.
Responsibility details are not available.
This Star Decals sheet carries the markings of the Turkish army for two machines of Soviet origin, the light T-26 tank and the BA-6 armored car, in the form they had in the 1930s and 1940s. It is an addition to a model in 1:35 size; the vehicle itself is not in the package.
In the 1930s Turkey acquired armored hardware among other places in the Soviet Union, and so both the T-26 and the BA-6 found their way into its armament. The T-26 grew out of the British Vickers 6-Ton design and became the most numerous Soviet light tank of its day. The BA-6 was built on the chassis of the three-axle GAZ-AAA truck and its turret with a gun was close to contemporary tank practice. Turkey stayed out of combat operations for most of the Second World War and joined the warring sides formally only at its close, so both vehicles saw out their service at home rather than at the front.
Turkish national insignia will set a model apart from the usual Soviet or Spanish schemes the T-26 is normally built with. Cut the design out tight against the printing, so as not to enlarge the clear border around it needlessly. A smooth glossy base belongs under a decal, because on matte paint air is held under the film and a white haze arises.
