This Star Decals sheet opens up the historical markings of the light SdKfz 250 half-track armored personnel carriers in the so-called alt version, specifically for the versions SdKfz 250/1, SdKfz 250/3 and SdKfz 250/9 with the 10 SS-Panzer Division Frundsberg unit.
The SdKfz 250 was a scaled-down relative of the more widespread SdKfz 251 and served mainly for reconnaissance and signals. The early version had an angular hull put together from a larger number of folded plates. The 250/1 type was the basic transport one, the 250/3 carried a bulky radio set with an aerial and the 250/9 was given a small turret with a 2cm rapid-firing cannon for reconnaissance tasks. The division mentioned was raised in 1943 and committed on the Eastern as well as the Western Front. The set conveys period markings for the needs of building a model.
The tactical insignia of German hardware tend to be small and thin, so transfer them with tweezers with soft jaws. A thin coat of gloss varnish brushed on only at the place of the design is enough under a decal. Then dust the dried film with pigment, so that it blends with the surrounding area. With digits placed on the turret, reckon with the fact that they have to follow the curve.
