The SX-Art set is cut for the KamAZ-43509 truck in the small 1:72 scale. It serves to cover the glazing and the other areas that are to stay clean after spraying; the model of the vehicle is not included.
The KamAZ-43509 is an off-road truck with both axles driven from the production of the Naberezhnye Chelny plant. Vehicles of this family are built in versions for the army and for civilian use, and in deeply modified form the KamAZ trucks made their name in long-distance rally raids, where they rank among the most successful machines in their category. The cab sits over the engine, has a large windshield and strongly framed window openings. The high ride height and the massive tires stand out and give the vehicle a sturdy look even in a small scale.
In 1:72 scale it is a matter of millimeters, so have tweezers with a fine tip and good light ready. Seat the mask accurately on the first attempt, because repeated shifting across the surface does it no good. Thin the paint more than in large scales and spray from a shorter distance at lower pressure, otherwise a small frame disappears under a thick coat. Look at the result with a magnifier; a flaw you do not notice with the naked eye stands out in a photograph.
