The SX-Art set in 1:72 scale is made for the KamAZ-5350 military truck from the Mustang family. It is not a kit, but an accessory that protects the areas meant to stay free of paint during spraying.
Mustang is the name of a whole line of KamAZ military trucks, which includes versions with two, three and four axles. The 5350 type is a three-axle machine with all-wheel drive; it serves to carry cargo and troops and often acts as the chassis for a wide variety of bodies, from workshop and tanker types to carriers of weapon systems. The cab has an angular shape with a large glazed area and some of the vehicles received add-on armor. The Mustang trucks replaced the older types mainly thanks to a higher payload and better cross-country mobility.
Trucks are usually sprayed in a single shade, so the main work lies in the cleanness of the detail, and there the seating of the mask decides. Lay it on a dry, dust-free surface, press the edge down and only then reach for the airbrush. At the end a slight picking out of the panel lines and a fine layer of dust on the lower part of the vehicle come in handy; do both only after removing the mask. With a single-color finish the evenness of the coat matters too, so turn the model while spraying and do not hold the nozzle on one spot for long.
