1:35 Modern plastic jerry can for water USA (10x)

The real subject

The water can belongs to the equipment that modern army vehicles carry practically all the time. Water is heavy, but in the field it matters as much as fuel and ammunition, and so it is allowed for when the stowage positions are designed: into brackets on the sides, onto carriers at the rear, onto the roof and loose into the bed. With American units a plastic vessel became established for water, because plastic does not corrode, does not pass a metallic taste to the contents and is lighter for the same volume. A water vessel tends to be set apart by color and by lettering, so that it is not confused with a can for fuel.

What the set offers

The package contains ten cans in 1:35 scale. They are separate parts, so you place them around the model to your own idea, and they serve equally well as a load in a diorama, on a pile of supplies by a road or by a field kitchen. Ten pieces are enough even for several vehicles, which you will appreciate when building a whole convoy.

• Ten water cans in 1:35 scale
• The real subject is a modern American plastic vessel
• Separate parts to be placed freely around a vehicle and in a scene
• Suited to models of present-day military vehicles

Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material away with a sharp blade a little away from the part and carefully sand the remainder. Wash and degrease the parts before painting and choose the glue according to the material of the parts. A plastic vessel behaves differently from sheet metal: paint holds on it more matte, the edges rub through to the light and dirt is held mainly in the ribs and around the neck. A base shade, a dark wash and slightly lightened edges are therefore enough to make the can look used.

Who it is for

For modelers who build present-day American vehicles in 1:35 scale and want to complete them with a load, and for builders of dioramas too. Paints and glue are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
