This set is the damaged counterpart of the ordinary 200 liter drum. According to the name the package runs to ten pieces in 1:43 scale and bears the designation of variant 1. The designation in the name means that the shape of the drum is no longer intact.
A new drum tells one story, a dented one quite another. As soon as a piece with a buckled body or a torn rim appears in a scene, the viewer himself fills in that something drove through here, that something fell, or that nobody has cleaned the place up for a long time. Damaged pieces therefore belong in corners, by fences, under piles of rubble and in ditches, while whole drums stay where they are still being worked with. The contrast between the two groups is what gives a scene its action.
Emphasize the pushed-in areas with a darker shade and lighten the edges of the fold with light instead, otherwise a hollow is lost in a small scale. Rubbed places will stand a hint of bare metal, but carefully, so that the drum does not look freshly sanded. Around the drum it is a good idea to suggest a darker patch on the ground. A dry brush run along the edges will finally pull the shape forward and the dent will become readable even from a distance.
