The 1:16 French Paratrooper figure from the Dynamo-Models brand captures a French paratrooper in his form of the 1960s.
Responsibility details are not available.
A stand-alone figure from the output of Dynamo-Models. The 1:16 scale belongs among the larger figure formats, and it is exactly there that the work on the face, on the cloth folds and on the equipment comes out, which in smaller scales would remain merely suggested. The subject is a member of the French airborne units of the 1960s, that is of the period when the French army was completing its overseas deployment and the airborne formations belonged among its most frequently committed elements.
With figures of this format the procedure in layers decides. Start with a filler primer, which evens the surface out and reveals any unfinished spots. Build the face from a darker base toward lighter layers, leave the eyes until the end and do not hurry with them. Paint the camouflage pattern of the uniform with a thin brush, patch by patch, and not with a dry brush, because in 1:16 every patch is big enough for its edge to show. The equipment and the leather items are refined with toning into the folds and a fine highlight along the edges.
For figure painters who want to practice painting a face in a larger format, and for collectors focused on postwar French units. A beginning builder will see on it what a difference patient layering of paint makes.
The figure is sold unpainted and without a base, unless stated otherwise.
