The set

What it is good for

Figures from kits tend to have simplified shapes and in 1:35 scale that shows up close. Separately made accessories tend to be finer and stand a close look better. It pays off to use them in the places that are clearly visible once a scene has been finished, and to leave the rest of the figure unchanged. Before you start cutting, hold the part up dry and think through where exactly the joint will run.

Building and painting tips

Cut the excess material off with a sharp blade a little away from the part and sand the remainder down carefully with fine paper. Pick the small parts up with tweezers and work over a surface with a raised edge. Once glued, fill the joint with filler and sand it over, so that it does not show under the paint. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; where it is not polystyrene, super glue holds best. Before painting, wash the surface in lukewarm water with a detergent, degrease it and let it dry. Apply the paint in thin layers, so that the fine relief is preserved.
