The set

A set of figures in 1:35 scale from the manufacturer Bravo 6 with the product code B6-35202. The 1:35 is the classic scale of military modeling, so the figures will match vehicles, equipment, buildings and accessories of the same class and can be combined with figures from other brands.

Composition and placement

The figures stand out best if you give them a plain task in a diorama: a figure leaning against a fender, a pair at a map, a crew passing tools to each other. Place them at unequal distances and turn them so that their gazes lead into the scene, not out of it. Before gluing, lay the arrangement out dry and look at it from the height of the viewer's eye, that is roughly from the edge of the base.

Building and painting tips

Cut surplus material off with a sharp blade a little way from the part and sand the remainder, so that you do not damage the relief of the cloth. Fill the seams after gluing the arms and the heads on with putty and sand them over, or you will see them under the paint. Wash the surface in lukewarm water with detergent before painting and degrease it. Choose the glue according to the material of the parts; with parts that are not polystyrene, cyanoacrylate holds best. Apply the paint in thin coats, set the areas of skin and uniform apart with a shade and only at the end add the shadows and the lights. A matte varnish will unify the sheen of the whole figure and hide the transitions between coats of paint.
