A diorama accessory in 1:35 scale from the Polish brand Eureka XXL. It is NOT a vehicle model; it is a set of artillery rounds with a wooden crate. The 8.8 cm Pzgr.Patr.40 round is a sub-caliber armor-piercing projectile (APCR) for the Kw.K.36 L/56 gun of the Tiger I heavy tank. The package consists of turned metal projectiles and cases and resin parts for the crate.
The Pzgr.Patr.40 was an armor-piercing projectile with a hard tungsten core, used against heavily armored targets at shorter range. Thanks to its high muzzle velocity it was among the most effective but also the scarcest ammunition of the Wehrmacht. Rounds in crates are among the popular details of tank dioramas.
Wash the mold release agent off the resin parts, cut off the casting blocks and glue them with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); protect your airways while sanding. The metal projectiles show well in brass and steel shades, and the wood of the crate can be suggested with glazes and dry brushing.
This is an accessory, not a stand-alone model. It is supplied unassembled and unpainted; glue, paints and the base model are not included in the package.
