The A Winter After War Set figure set in 1:35 scale from Dynamo-Models. A winter postwar subject for a civilian diorama and for completing vehicles.
Responsibility details are not available.
A figure set from Dynamo-Models in 1:35 scale, marked in the name as a set. The subject is wintry and postwar, that is a civilian scene from the time when ordinary life was returning to the places that had been hit. These are figures, not a vehicle kit - what you build to go with them is up to you.
Winter is a subject in diorama work that rewards patience. Snow evens out the coloring of the whole base and so lets the figures stand out, because they are suddenly the only source of color and contrast. At the same time it is merciless toward unfinished work: a white area will show up every irregularity and every transition that would pass elsewhere. A postwar civilian motif also makes it possible to build a scene without a single soldier, with nothing but a setting and people, and yet the period it tells about will still be felt in it.
Never make snow purely white - a fresh layer has a hint of blue in the shadows, an older one a hint of gray. Deal with the transition between the boots and the snow by applying the last layer only after the figures are settled, so that a natural rim forms around them. Paint winter clothing in muted tones with one stronger accent that will catch the eye in a white area. In a winter scene the skin can take a slightly pink hint on the cheeks, the nose and the ears. And do not rush the drying - layering the snow in thin doses looks markedly better than one thick layer.
