Responsibility details are not available.
An injection-molded plastic kit of the American amphibious tracked AAVR-7A1 recovery vehicle in 1:35 scale, made by Hobby Boss. The set offers full external detail, the interior of the driver's and maintenance compartments with tools, an articulated crane, individual track links and photo-etched parts; the model is built unassembled and unpainted.
The AAVR-7A1 is the recovery and repair variant of the amphibious AAV family (formerly the LVTP-7) of the United States Marine Corps. Instead of a landing force it carries a crane and welding and repair equipment, and it serves to recover and maintain the unit's amphibious vehicles directly in the field and during a landing. Like the basic type it swims by water jets and moves on tracks on land.
Reckon on a more extensive build, with the assembly of individual track links and the fitting of the interior and the crane. Glue the joints with thin cement for plastic, and the photo-etched parts with cyanoacrylate glue. After spraying the base coat, choose a Marine Corps scheme; bring out the recesses with a wash, draw the edges in with dry-brushing and round the underside and the tracks out with dust and salt effects.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
