USS Fletcher (DD-445) is an injection-molded plastic kit of the American Second World War destroyer in 1:350 scale from Tamiya.
Responsibility details are not available.
The kit captures the American destroyer USS Fletcher, the lead ship of the class of the same name from the Second World War. It is an injection-molded plastic model in 1:350 scale from the Japanese brand Tamiya, made as a full-hull model with a stand and a nameplate. The kit stands out for its movable main turrets, torpedo tubes and gun barrels.
The USS Fletcher gave her name to the most numerous class of American destroyers of the Second World War, of which one hundred and seventy-five were built. These versatile ships proved themselves escorting task forces, in anti-aircraft defense, in anti-submarine warfare and in direct naval engagements. The Fletcher herself went through a long and eventful combat career.
The hull is molded in one piece and the deck as a single part. Glue the parts with liquid cement for plastic and seat the fine superstructure, masts and railings carefully. An airbrush suits the period American camouflage schemes; the deck and the superstructure come alive with a fine wash and highlighted details. The model can be placed on the enclosed stand.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
