An outdoor air conditioning unit in 1:35 scale is exactly the small thing that turns a model of a building into a piece of an inhabited city. Units like these hang on facades, stand on flat roofs and on brackets above windows, and in present-day building you will find them practically everywhere. On a large smooth wall one also gives away the scale of the whole scene at once.
Set the unit where an installer would have put it: by a window, under a cornice, on a bracket by a wall or on a roof beside an access hatch. Fit it to the wall over its whole mating surface so that no gap is left between the part and the facade. A short run of cable or a drain hose made from thin wire, and a vertical stain on the render where water drips from the unit, will help the look of it.
