An outdoor air conditioning unit in 1:35 scale for a diorama, a display-case scene or a model of a building.
Responsibility details are not available.
An outdoor air conditioning unit is as ordinary on buildings today as a downpipe. That is exactly why it pays off in 1:35 scale: on a facade, on a bracket above a window or on a flat roof it gives a building a human dimension and breaks up a large empty area, which on a model always looks unnaturally smooth.
The unit looks most believable placed logically in relation to the inside of the building, that is near a window or at a passage through a wall. Leave a vertical trace on the render below it where water drips, run a short length of cable from it to the wall in thin wire and hide the end behind a molding or a cornice. In a group it looks better when the individual units are not lined up level and are set slightly out of true in both height and shade, because nobody installs them to a line in reality either.
Cut away excess material and traces of manufacture with a sharp blade a little away from the part, sand the rest and level the surface. Then wash and degrease the surface, or the paint will not hold. Apply the paint in thin layers. A light casing takes a dark wash into the corners and a light pass of a dry brush along the edges well, while the fan grille needs darkening so that it does not read as a solid area.
Which version this item is is not stated here. Prepare your own paints, glue and material for the stand, unless stated otherwise. The particular procedure for preparation and gluing is given in the manufacturer's instructions.
