The Arabic numerals decal set in 1:35 scale from Star Decals offers generic black numerals; seven sizes and styles are given in the name.
Responsibility details are not available.
Unlike the others in the range, this set of Star Decals is not tied to one theater or one army. These are generic numerals in black, which you add to a model according to your own reference. Seven sizes and styles are given in the name. The designation Arabic numerals, moreover, means the ordinary numerals from zero to nine as we use them today, not Arabic script.
Numerical marking is omnipresent on military equipment, and yet in finished sets it is often precisely the size or the shape you need that is lacking. A generic set of numerals solves exactly this situation: tactical numbers for the turret, vehicle numbers for the hull, production and registration data on small areas, or making up a damaged marking on an older model. The black form works on pale and sand coats, where white numerals are lost, and equally on camouflage with pale fields.
With rows of numbers everything is about straightness and spacing. Stick tape to the model as a guide line and lay the individual numerals along its edge; the eye finds every deviation from the horizontal at once. Keep the spacing the same along the whole length and, before applying them, lay the whole group out as a trial off the model, so that you know how much space it will take. The base should be smooth and glossy, and a matte varnish will unify the finished work.
The package holds numerals, not a model. You buy the kit and the paints separately.
