The figure 1:35 Argentine soldier Falklands 1982 from Black Dog represents the Argentine side in a scene of 1982 and complements the British figures of the same line.

A single figure representing the Argentine side of the conflict in the South Atlantic. For a modeler it is practically a rarity: for this subject it is above all British figures that are generally available, and the other side stays unrepresented. Without it, though, a scene loses its narrative dimension and remains a plain display of equipment.
For most of the operations Argentine units held defensive positions around the capital and on the surrounding heights, shallow trenches hacked out of stony soil, the lee of stone walls, makeshift shelters against the rain. It is this static posture that offers a more interesting composition than a figure in motion: a base with a scooped-out hollow, soil and stones scattered around, and perhaps a suggested tarpaulin.
After a few weeks in the field the uniforms of the South Atlantic campaign were soaked with damp and ingrained peaty dust, so a high-contrast clean coat would look untrue. Keep a muted palette and build the differences on texture rather than on color: the smooth surface of a coat against coarser fabric, matte textile against slightly satin metal. Lead the muddy deposit from the bottom upward and let it fade.
