A set of two figures cast in resin in 1:35 scale from the brand Bravo 6. It is not a kit of equipment but a figure composition for a diorama. The castings are supplied unassembled and unpainted; working resin assumes modeling practice, so the set is suitable rather for experienced modelers.
The set is tied by its theme to the fighting on the island of Peleliu in the Pacific in 1944. Both figures are modeled as one dynamic composition with stances that follow on from each other - stood side by side they give the intended whole, whereas separately they speak less. The uniforms and the kit match the tropical setting of the Pacific: light field dress, a helmet and carried kit without winter layers. The folds of the cloth and the small details are modeled finely and call for only a little cleaning once the casting blocks have been removed.
First wash the castings in lukewarm water with detergent, so that the release agent from the mold is removed. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a cutting disc and do not break them away. Glue with cyanoacrylate super glue and reinforce the thin joints with a short pin of wire. Sand wet and with respiratory protection. With a two-figure composition, try the placement out dry first - with stances that follow on from each other, precision decides. After a thin primer, paint with acrylics; dusty, faded shades of the uniform suit a tropical scene, slightly bleached on the exposed areas and complemented by a wash into the folds. Finish the faces and the hands off with oil paints.
The set is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
