This is photo-etched razor barbed wire from the manufacturer Eduard in 1:35 scale. Unlike classic barbed wire it reproduces modern razor wire with continuous sharp blades of the kind used on present-day obstacles and fences. It is not a model or a kit, but an accessory for building dioramas and vignettes. The prepared length of wire corresponds to roughly 8 meters at the reduced scale of the scene.
Razor wire rounds out modern military and security scenes, base fencing, checkpoints and fortified positions. Coiled or strung between posts, it gives a diorama with vehicles and figures a credible contemporary character.
Separate the fine etched parts with a sharp knife and shape them carefully into a coil or stretch them between stakes. Bond them with super glue. For realistic metal, degrease the wire, paint it a dark metallic shade and bring it out with a light wash or pigments so that the sharp blades stand out.
This is an accessory for a diorama, not a model. Stakes, a base, paints and glue are not included in the package.
