A set of replacement bare feet for figures in 1:35 scale. It is neither a figure nor a kit but parts for a conversion. Most figures from kits have their legs shod, and as soon as you need a scene with a soldier by water, with a resting crew, with a civilian or with a figure in a field, the footwear suddenly gets in the way. This set solves that problem.
The typical scene is a rest by a watercourse, washing, a dressing station, sleeping on a truck bed or a civilian scene in a warm climate. In a scene bare feet also work as a storytelling detail, because they suggest at once that the situation is not a combat one. They can be used when building figures for genre and historical dioramas outside military subjects as well.
Cut the original leg off above the ankle or at the place where the trouser leg ends, so that the cut is as little visible as possible. Release the new part from the casting residue, sand the surface of the cut down and wash the casting in lukewarm water with a detergent. Glue with super glue and fill the joint with a modeling compound; with a rolled-up trouser leg you can model a fold straight away to cover the transition with. Stand the figure up dry, so that the feet rest on their whole area and the figure does not rock. The painting of skin in 1:35 scale rests on one base tone, a thin glaze into the recesses and a fine highlight on the instep and the toes. Exaggerated red looks unnatural close up, so hold back rather than add. Dirty the soles of the feet with dust or mud matching the terrain.
The accessory is supplied unpainted and without a figure. Glue, paints, modeling compound and the figure are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
