The set 1:35 Bases (2 pcs.) offers diorama grounds with no fixed subject. They are not models of hardware but areas on which a scene is only going to arise according to your own idea, from a simple section of terrain to a full-fledged diorama.
A finished scene ties the choice of model down; an unprofiled base, by contrast, leaves the decision open right up to the moment the model is built. It also suits cases where you want to unify several exhibits in a display case through a common plinth, so that structures of differing kinds act as one collection.
Add the texture with modeling paste, fine sand or sifted soil; make a more pronounced relief with a knife while you are still before the painting. Prime the whole afterward, so that the various materials behave alike. Spray the base tone on, play the shades out with a brush and finally seat static grass, tufts or scatter. It pays to leave the side of the plinth smooth and in a uniform dark color, which gives the scene a frame.
You obtain the additional material and the paints separately according to the scenery you choose.
