A plastic modeling set in 1:35 scale on the theme of the fighting in France in the spring of 1940. The subject is military hardware.
Responsibility details are not available.
In the spring of 1940 the armies that clashed in western Europe were very unevenly equipped. Armored vehicles, wheeled and half-tracked vehicles, towed artillery and trucks of several nations all appeared side by side in the same area. It is exactly this variety that makes the theme rewarding: machines that resemble one another neither in shape nor in color stand together in one display case.
This is a plastic modeling item in 1:35 scale on the theme of the fighting in France in the spring of 1940. 1:35 is the most widely used scale for ground hardware, so the set ties in with whatever you already have part-built or finished and does not stand out in size. The exact make-up and the recommended sequence of assembly are given in the manufacturer's instructions.
The parts are supplied unassembled and unpainted. Before gluing, remove the excess material and the marks left by production, sand the surfaces and wash and degrease them before painting. A spring campaign calls for dust rather than mud: a lighter deposit on the lower surfaces and on the leading edges of the fenders looks more convincing than a continuous layer of earth. Pick out the metal edges at the very end, otherwise the later coats will bury them.
The set will please modelers who build to a theme rather than to a single machine and who want their display case arranged by campaign and year. Paints, glue, filler and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
