A photo-etched detailing set from Eduard for the Soviet infantry fighting vehicle BMP-2 in 1:35 scale. It is not a model of the vehicle but a set of fine metal parts that replace simplified plastic elements and raise the fidelity of the build. It usually contains fenders, grilles, covers, brackets and small exterior details.
The BMP-2 is a Soviet tracked infantry fighting vehicle brought into service at the end of the 1970s as the successor to the BMP-1. Its two-man turret carries a 30 mm automatic cannon and an anti-tank missile system. It was built in large numbers, delivered to a range of armies and used in many conflicts.
Bend the metal parts over the edge of a ruler and bond them with super glue. Remove the plastic elements being replaced, and degrease the metal and apply a primer before painting. The look benefits from weathering with washes and pigments.
The accessory is supplied on its own, without the vehicle model, paints or glue.
