A set of plastic figures in 1:35 scale from the Ukrainian maker Master Box. The set captures a pair of riders of the First World War period, a British and a German cavalryman, together with their horses at the dramatic moment of clashing with each other. The figures are meant to be glued and painted and will serve excellently as the central motif of a smaller diorama.
Although the First World War was a conflict of trenches, machine guns and artillery, cavalry still played a part in its early phases, both in reconnaissance and in direct combat. The set recalls exactly that transitional era, when traditional cavalry faced the new weapons of modern war. The uniforms, equipment and weapons of both riders match the kit of the armies of the Great War years.
Separate the small parts from the sprues carefully and clean them up, gluing the joints with a thin cement for plastic. For a natural look of both the uniforms and the horses' coats it pays to lay down a base color with an airbrush and then pick out the detail with a brush. Bring the recesses and the folds of the cloth to life with a darker wash, and drybrushing will emphasize the edges of the equipment.
The model is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
