A set of figures of British tankers loading 2-pounder ammunition, North Africa, 1:35 scale is a resin set from the maker PANZER ART. It brings the poses offered singly as well into one working scene.
Responsibility details are not available.
A resin set of figures in 1:35 for a diorama or for a vehicle model. It is not a kit of equipment. The set matches the poses that the manufacturer also offers as separate items, and it deals with the whole scene of replenishing ammunition at once.
The set is built on one action: the figures pass ammunition to each other, so their placing is not arbitrary. The modeler has to find the axis along which the round travels and turn both bodies so that the hands and the lines of sight line up. That is the main difference from buying the figures singly, where you put the link together yourself. Thin summer clothing forms dense shallow folds on the sleeves and the trouser legs, the kind that movement creates rather than the weight of the fabric, and it behaves differently when painted from a heavy coat.
Wash all the parts in lukewarm water with dish soap to remove the mold release agent, cut the casting blocks off, sand them down and glue with cyanoacrylate glue. Then try the placing dry, before the primer. Paint the figures at the same time and from the same stock of mixed shades, or the uniforms will drift apart visually. Proceed in layers across the whole set: the base on all of them, the wash on all of them, the highlights on all of them. In a working scene bring the hands and the faces up higher than the rest, because it is they that carry the action. Keep the dusty weathering on the boots, the hems and the lower edges; do not dust the whole figure. Finish with a matte clear coat from the same bottle for all the figures.
The figures are supplied unassembled and unpainted. The paints, the glue and a base are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
