A resin figure of a tank commander in British service in 1:35 scale from PANZER ART. It is not a model of the vehicle but an accessory for one. The figure is meant mainly for the turret hatch, where it fills what would otherwise be an empty opening and gives the model both scale and a story. Most military vehicles come out in 1:35 scale, so the figure can be combined with practically any Sherman model.
The manufacturer makes further items on the same theme: a commander on his own, a loader on his own, a set of figures for the turret and a crew set. This item is the commander figure on its own, in other words a single person. The scope of the other sets is stated on their boxes.
Before painting, wash the casting in lukewarm water with a drop of dish soap so that the release agent disappears from the surface. Cut the casting blocks off with a saw or a knife and finish the surfaces by wet sanding with respiratory protection. Resin is glued with cyanoacrylate glue (super glue); ordinary cement for plastic has no effect on it. After the filler, apply the base tone of the overalls, darken the recesses and lighten the edges. On a figure for a hatch, concentrate on what will be visible, that is the upper half, the face and the hands. Finally, even out the surface with a matte varnish.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and the vehicle model are not included in the package.
