Responsibility details are not available.
A sheet with markings for Shermans in British service, specifically for the three forms given in the name: the Mk I, the Mk I Hybrid and the Mk III. The item comes from the series issued for the 75th anniversary of the Normandy landings. What it holds is markings for a model that is already built and painted, not a kit and not a plastic accessory. The 1:35 scale matches the widest range of Sherman models on the market.
The British marked American tanks under a system of their own and the differences between the forms are clearly visible on a model. The Sherman Mk I is the basic M4 with a welded hull, the Mk I Hybrid has the front of the hull cast and the rest welded, which is the most conspicuous distinguishing feature of the three, and the Mk III matches the M4A2 with diesel power. British tank regiments told their vehicles apart by squadron and by troop and the markings matched that, so the shape and the color of a marking carried particular information.
The most valuable work begins before the decals: confirm from the shape of the front of the hull which of the forms listed your model represents. The cast front of the Hybrid variant has a different texture from welded plate, so even the area under the markings out with gloss varnish all the more thoroughly. The application procedure is given by the manufacturer in the instructions. After it has dried and been given a matte clear coat, bringing the edges out with dry brushing suits it well.
