A collector's figure of a British sniper from the period of the First World War in 1:35 scale. This is one figure cast in quality modeling resin from the Czech maker Black Dog. The set holds a standalone figure with sharply drawn detail of the uniform, the gear and the rifle; it is supplied as a kit for more experienced modelers.
Snipers became a key element of the fighting on the Western Front during the trench war. The British responded to the German advantage in accurate shooting by setting up specialized schools for snipers and observers. The figure captures an infantryman in the period field uniform with a rifle, typical of British units of that time.
First wash the parts to get the residue of the mold release agent off, cut the casting blocks away carefully and glue with superglue, that is cyanoacrylate. Wear respiratory protection while sanding. For a realistic look, oil paints and shading technique work well, which come into their own on the khaki uniform and the leather gear.
The figure is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue, paints and accessories are not included in the package, unless stated otherwise.
