MASTER 1:35 Browning M1919 A4 .30 caliber (7.62 mm) - machine gun is a metal replacement for the plastic weapon on vehicle models and in dioramas.
Responsibility details are not available.
A metal replacement for the Browning M1919 A4 machine gun in .30 caliber, that is 7.62 mm, in 1:35 scale. It is not a kit and not a vehicle model but a standalone weapon that you fit to a model of a tank or an armored vehicle or place in a diorama. This is not just a barrel but the weapon as a whole.
The Browning M1919 A4 was an air-cooled machine gun in .30 caliber used by Allied units during the Second World War and long after it. Its characteristic feature is the perforated barrel jacket, which provided cooling by the flow of air. The weapon appeared in the infantry role on a tripod as well as armament on armored vehicles on various kinds of mounts and cradles.
A metal weapon is considerably heavier than a plastic part, so do not glue it on by contact alone but secure it with a pin or a large enough bearing surface. Use super glue or two-part epoxy, which gives more time to fine-tune the position. A metal surface is smooth and paint will not hold on it without preparation, so degrease it with alcohol and lay down a primer meant for metal. The machine gun looks best over a very dark but not black base, over which a light pass of dry-brushing in a steel shade brings the edges out. Then bring out the perforated jacket with a dark wash that flows into the holes. The weapon combines well with photo-etched parts, for example an ammunition belt or sights.
This is an accessory for a kit, not a complete model. The kit, glue and paints are not included in the package.
